An Air Flow Meter measures air velocity as well as air pressure. Depending on the type of application, the Air Flow Meter is made as a hot-wire Air Flow Meter, a vane Air Flow Meter, a cup anemometer, a Pitot tube air flow meter or a pocket weather flow meter, all of which can measure air velocity as well as air pressure. Some can even detect the wind direction. The most common unit of measurement for air flow is m/s.

Flow sensors are devices that help us measure the movement of fluids, like water or air, in various applications. You may have heard of them being referred to as a flow meter or flow indicator. They work like fluid detectives, detecting the flow rate and volume with certain applications to provide valuable information for controlling, monitoring, and optimising processes. The S401 is a flow sensor which is designed to measure the consumption of compressed air and gases within the permissible operating parameters.. The S401 can measure the following values: • Volume flow of the compressed air or gas. Total consumption of the compressed air or gas.

The results of measuring the air velocity can be stored in the Air Flow Meter’s memory, depending on the model. There are a lot of Air Flow Meters available. The air flow meter is ideal for taking quick or constant measurements including monitoring of ventilation installations, process checking, industrial applications, use in private workshops or by nautical enthusiasts or for other hobbies, etc.

The air flow meter measures the flow velocity according to the hot wire principle. This guarantees a particularly compact design. In addition to the flow rate, the air flow meter can measure the volume flow and the ambient temperature.

Compressed and forced air is very common in industrial settings. Air is commonly used to power tools, force particle movement, ensure a dry atmosphere, clear hazardous gases or materials from an area, and improve combustion efficiency in boilers and furnaces. Flow meters capable of measuring air are used to measure its flow rate to ensure a supply adequate to the task for which it’s being used. This maximizes efficiency, safety, and product quality.

The Atrato range of inline ultrasonic flow meters is a genuine breakthrough in flowmeter technology. Its rugged, clean-bore construction makes the Atrato ideal for a whole range of low flow applications and its USB port allows software connectivity at literally the touch of a button. Its signal processing system permits flow measurement across the whole Reynolds number range allowing both viscous and non-viscous products to metered accurately, whilst signal discrimination identifies anomalies in the flow and generates reports as required.

Metal Tube flowmeter Influx iMT features a high visibility, direct reading scale with options for remote switching or 4 to 20 mA output. It is well suited to high pressure, temperature and harsh environmental conditions.
